We cut the body weight of the previous-generation Super Duty® with dent and ding-resistant high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that won’t rust. Weight savings are reinvested in a fully boxed high-strength steel frame and chassis components. Put the muscle where it really counts to work for you on a tough job site or on rugged off-road terrain.

High-Strength, Military-Grade, Aluminum-Alloy Body
The Super Duty® has the only high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body in its class. Aluminum alloy is substantially lighter than the previous body, yet it’s remarkably strong. It’s also more dent-and-ding-resistant and not subject to red rust. Use of aluminum alloy allowed some of the weight savings to be reinvested where it matters the most, most notably in the frame and driveline components that are the foundation of strength and toughness.

Most Capable Full-Size Pickup in Its Class
The heavy-duty pickup you’ll want on your crew is the Ford Super Duty® for many reasons, including its ability to help you get the job done. The Super Duty® is out ahead of all other pickups in its class in every measure of capability. Just check out these specs: 7,630-lb. (3,460 kg) maximum payload, maximum conventional tow rating of 21,000 lbs. (9,525 kg), plus maximum 5th-wheel tow rating of 27,500 lbs. (12,473 kg) and gooseneck hitch rating of 35,000 lbs. (15,875 kg). Super Duty® is also top-rated with its gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 43,300 lbs. (19,640 kg). Super Duty also offers technology like class-exclusive Trailer Reverse Guidance that helps make manoeuvring big trailers an easier and safer task.

All the hard-working pulling muscle you can handle.
Torque is critical in the hardworking world of heavy-duty pickups, especially when hauling and towing huge loads. And here, not surprising, the Ford Super Duty® rules its class. The 6.2L gas V8, with its 430 lb.-ft. of best-in-class torque, delivers more heavy work-capable muscle. Need the severe-duty stamina of a durable, powerful diesel? Ready to join your workforce is the available 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8, the class leader in ratings of horsepower 450 horsepower and torque 935 lb.-ft.

Only in a Ford Super Duty® will you find the available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert and trailer coverage. BLIS alerts you in the outside mirror when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot — and provides coverage for the truck you’re driving as well as the trailer you’re towing. The cross-traffic alert feature (for the truck only) can detect a vehicle passing behind when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking place.
